UA Writing Fellows Program
Do you see a need for more writing instructional practices in your school? Is writing a task that frustrates you or your students? Is writing something you wish you had more time for? If you are feeling like you need more resources or want more cutting-edge research practices for writing instruction, the UA Writing Fellows program is for you!
Writing Fellows are a core component of the National Writing Project, and the UA Writing Project is thrilled to offer this leadership and learning experience to Alabama teachers. Writing Fellows are instructional leaders who are interested in learning about writing practices and sharing those practices with their schools and colleagues.
Writing fellows engage in asynchronous and synchronous teaching experiences to learn evidence-based instructional practices. Opportunities to engage online and in-person are offered. At its core, the UA Writing Fellows program is a collaborative of teachers seeking to improve writing instruction in the state. UA Writing Fellows will also have opportunities to take on leadership roles within the UA Writing Project, leading events, discussions, and presentations, among other experiences.
Apply to be a UA Writing Fellow! Contact Dr. Tracey Hodges (thodges@ua.edu) if you have questions or would like more information about the UA Writing Fellows Program.
